B. Monte Stewart, MD, FACS

Dr. Stewart completed medical school at Loma Linda University in Southern California in 1989. He completed his specialty training in general surgery in 1994 at Loma Linda University Medical Center and advanced training in trauma surgery and surgical critical care in Los Angeles. Prior to coming to Ashland, he was on the teaching staff at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Besides his training and interest in trauma, he also has an interest in cancer surgery and for 3 years was the cancer program director at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.
Zakir Ali, MD
Board Certified Neurologist
Dr. Ali was born in Bombay, India. He attended the Assam Medical College, graduating with his medical degree in 1990, with an additional 3 years of training in Internal Medicine. Dr. Ali completed his medical internship in Connecticut and his Neurology residency through Tufts University at the New England Medical Center. He also completed training in Neuromuscular diseases and diagnoses receiving his fellowship at the University of Vermont in 2001. In 2001, he moved to Schenectady, New York where he established a private practice in Neurology and served as a consulting Neurologist with several local hospitals, as well as affiliating with Albany Medical College as a clinical assistant professor. In 2004, Dr. Ali moved to Ashland, where he practices general Neurology with specialization in Neuromuscular diseases. He is a staff Neurologist at Ashland Community Hospital.
